The practice was instructed by Strutt and Parker Farms to design conversions for a collection of redundant farm buildings in Ford End, to establish a small, rural business centre. Many of the existing buildings were retained and refurbished to provide high-quality office space whilst keeping the historic atmosphere.

The buildings are predominantly of traditional vernacular construction, and care was taken to include original features, such as barn doors and brick detailing, with replacement materials and modern glazing. Parking and ancillary buildings are mainly located in the central courtyard to preserve the open character of the countryside, as well as the long views across the neighbouring fields.
